Pre-OKF Speeting

This Pre-Oz Kink Fest Speeting Special is the perfect event for people new to the scene, looking to meet like-minded people, and find some friendly faces prior to the OKF experience. Come along and make some new connections, meet people with similar interests, and practice your social skills in warm and welcoming environment. All that is required of you is a real interest in meeting other people, an open mind, and a respectful attitude.
What IS Speeting?
‘Speeting’ is a social event for the kink/fetish community based on some basic Speed Dating formats, offering a very concentrated dose of introductions and socialisation. But here’s where ‘Speeting’ is different… Whatever you’re looking for, it applauds you for LOOKING and helps you do so. This event is not divided by binary genders or roles or sexuality, and there’s no pressure on finding a ‘date’. Speeting is open to anyone wanting to make some new connections in the Melbourne kink community.
How does Speeting run?
On arrival you receive an envelope containing a ‘Prompt Card’, paper and pen. Your Prompt Card contains some conversation starters (some serious, some not so) to help you out if you’re ever feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Keep your pen and paper handy for your own note-taking throughout the event.
We work on five minute Meet Ups, with one minute in between for notes and place changes, and keep up this hectic and playful pace for an hour or so, after which we take a well-earned break, and chill for 20 minutes, before resuming the manic meetings until time is up.
Things to Note:
The event runs for two and a half hours.
Break time snacks will be provided.
Keep water on hand – you’ll be talking a lot for extended periods of time.
Speeting runs on a ‘round robin’ format to ensure the most number of random matches available within the given time frame. While every effort is made to ensure you will meet as many people as possible, we cannot guarantee you will meet everyone!
