Archaeologist and author, Anne O Nomis, is presenting a talk on the ancient sex ritual known as the quršu. This will be accompanied by a live performance piece by Passionfruit's very own Chanelle Rogers and her "priestesses" within our sumptuous Garden of Fertility. Anne will discuss the components of this ritual, from the setting up of a flowered bed with sacred fragrances and incense, to the bathing and beautification of the Goddess, the arrival of the King-God with special offerings, music sung praising the goddess's erotic attributes and her desire for sex.
